What was todays task?
Well the first task was to write the words that describe roman soilders. The next task was to draw 2 pictures that annitate the words that you have written on your whiteboard also sir wanted us to divide our page into 2 and on 1 picture it would have a roman soilder with a perfect soilder and the other is with what he wouldn't want them to look like. They talked about why 'The tortise ' was a good tactic. (they had 4 mins)

Some of the students told me the tortise tactic was a good tactic because it protects you from the javelins and even rain or snow or the other army's archers and equipment.

7S The Roman Empire

Our Tasks Today Were:
To answer the questions given on the worksheet about the Roman Empire, provinves and their government.
To know where the romans ruled on a map.

What the students learnt:
The students learnt that a province is a country that has been conquered by another country which is then ruled by the country that has conquered it. An Empire is a group of countries controlled by one government or person: this could be an Emperor (male leader) or Empress (female leader). They also learnt some new words such as senator - a governor, Conquered - a country that has been attacked, dispute - when people have an arguement. They also learnt that a governor runs a city, but can't do more than one thing, so they have a competent which is a person who knows what he/she is doing in their job/employment.
